Certified Retail First Level Manager Program
The Scholars Advantage:
- All Scholars Facilitators are experienced in dealing with adult learners. Instructors are friendly and flexible to accommodate a broad range of student capabilities.
- Scholars has “scholarized” this program to ensure that each student’s needs are addressed within the timelines provided and to ensure student success. Instructors do so by regularly consulting the Personalized Program Planner to ensure that students stay on track with timelines. This process also ensures that all students are prepared for both workplace and educational environments.
- This program is also available in French.
Program Prerequisite:
Students require Grade 8 equivalency in reading and writing and a basic competency with computers. Students must also be bondable and should have prior retail experience.
Program Duration:
14 weeks @ 3 hours/day or 42 hours + exam outside of class and up to one year of On-the-Job experience (determined by CRI)
Methodology:
With the guidance of a Scholars facilitator, students participate in group discussion, in-class exercises, and review of workbook concepts. Students are expected to complete course readings and homework as part of the course in preparation for a multiple-choice exam. Upon completion of the in-class component, students complete up to one year of on-the-job experience and a performance interview.
Students complete the multiple choice exam online. This exam is scored by an independent agency – Assessment Strategy Inc. The Performance Interview is also conducted by an independent agency – Corporate Research Group.
