Program Prerequisites:
- Introduction to Computers Program or minimal background knowledge of computers
- Identified SEB or Vocational Goal
Program Duration:
- 1 week 4 hours per day or broken up over 20 hours
Methodology:
Students complete an individualized Job Hunter’s Preparation Checklist prior to commencing the program and revisit this individualized learning plan prior to graduation. Facilitators regularly consult this checklist to ensure mastery of all the job search skill sets.
Students are taught through a behavioural-based model. Some topics included in this model are stress management, time management, team building, communication skills and True Colors.
Our interactive PowerPoint slides demonstrate the skill sets that correspond to the student binder. Through the use of role play, group interaction and practicum, students not only increase their job search knowledge, they also increase their confidence.
