Scholars Employment Solutions offers many different programs that promote result-oriented employment success. Scholars Employment Solutions offers valuable education to individuals from numerous markets: WSIB, Insurance Companies, Employers, High School Students, and many more. The programs and services we offer are:

Academic Upgrading Program

Our system was created to target the individual needs of each client while meeting the timelines as described in the client's plan. It begins with a process of testing each client to identify his or her particular skill gaps. We use credible, standardized Canadian assessments that give us the targeted information we need to personalize each client's program. Each client receives a tailored program entirely based on the provinces curriculum. Personalized programs are offered in reading, math, and writing. These programs allow adults to learn in a supportive environment while improving their job and career potential. Each student receives individual instruction to effectively reach his or her academic goals.

Qualified Tutoring

Qualified Tutoring provides clients with support for academic subjects, courses, and exams while attending High School or Post Secondary Programs.

English as a Second Language (ESL)

ESL prepares clients to develop the communication tools needed to confidently interact in an English-speaking work environment.

General Educational Development (GED)

GED is an international testing program for adults who have been unable to complete high school. The GED Program is used to assist our clientele who need to qualify for employment, gain promotion within their organization, apply for admission to an educational or training institution, and to achieve personal satisfaction. Clients receive individualized instructional assistance in the following areas: writing, reading, mathematics, science and social studies.

Study Skills Program

Clients discover how they learn and adapt their studying around this knowledge. They are taught a variety of study methods including: note taking, memory strategies, test preparation, test taking strategies, and improve listening and comprehension skills. Clients become skilled in how to manage their time efficiently, how to set achievable goals, how to maintain organization, and how to examine their learning environment. This program can be integrated into an Academic Upgrading Package.

Introduction to Computers

Introduction to Computers teaches the basics of Microsoft Office programs, internet navigation, keyboarding, and operating systems. This program was designed to take the "fear" out of using computers. It provides the client with step-by-step instructions along with hands on assignments from qualified and accountable Facilitators.

Job Search Training Program (JSTP) & Creative Job Search Techniques (CJST)

Clients learn to compete effectively in the job search market by learning valuable skills such as resume writing, marketing, networking, interview skills, etc. It offers behavioral based curriculum by integrating stress management, time management, team building skills, and most importantly attention to increasing client self esteem. This program allows all our clients to increase their confidence while gaining valuable knowledge. Upon successful completion of the program clients can access our Centre (at no extra cost) while conducting an effective job search.

Customer Service Program

This program was designed to keep the client's employability in mind while improving a wide range of skills related to customer service. This program offers behavioral-based curriculum with an interactive PowerPoint presentation. Role play and group interaction are included on a daily basis to ensure each client is mastering the subject matter. This program includes 7 weeks of in-class workshops with 5 weeks of on-the-job training. This placement provides an opportunity for the client to gain hands-on experience.

Special Work Placement

This placement provides an excellent method of training the client in their identified area of employment or SEB. It is goal-oriented training provided to help the client gain experience in the designated SEB through a work placement. If required, a trained Job Coach assists alongside the client in their workplace setting. This allows the client to gain opportunity to learn the important tasks they will be responsible for in a timely manner, without the need for the Employer/Supervisor to spend a great number of hours in one-on-one training.
